Jenn Susi is a NYC director born and raised in the Bronx! Jenn has been directing and developing new and award winning work in theatrical venues all over NYC: Nuyorican Poets Cafe, A.R.T./NY Theatres, The Players Theatre, Theatre 54, The Cherry Lane Theatre, Theatre Row, 13th Street Repertory Theatre, and more! As a director, Jenn's mission is to reflect the times in her work, bring that work into the NOW, and for everyone to see themselves and each other in her stories no matter race, gender, sexuality, or disability; to acknowledge and celebrate the human experience in the most truthful way. Not the truth we have become comfortable in knowing.
At the center of Jenn's work is trauma informed storytelling. It is through this lens, she has found her voice and hopes that artists and audiences will discover their own stories, new beginnings, community, and healing through experiencing this work.
Another one of Jenn’s passions is directing and teaching youth artists in her own Bronx community, helping them to discover their own talents and abilities as teachers once helped her to do many years ago…..She has never looked back.
